The department of information technology was started in the year 2001 with the aim of catering to the needs for eminent IT professionals in the nation’s march towards digital era. The vision of the department is to excel as one of the top global technical sector & to provide well trained Professionals to industries and to efficiently mould engineer's knowledge with theory and practice using teaching dexterity utilizing the latest practical experiments and software. The information Technologist has greater opportunities in Software Development because of their excellent knowledge of Web Technology.

The Department has inaugurated an association Elite Agora, Which pulls out the hidden talents of the students.Conducting National Level Technical Symposium (named Xcientia) in every academic year to bring out the technical thoughts of all buddy engineering students and enlightening their endeavors. Apart from curriculum the department takes good effort in conducting Seminars, Workshops & Guest Lectures by inviting experts in frontier areas related to Information Technology. It provides Practical exposure to students by Organizing Industrial Visits & In-Plant Training. Students have been motivated sto take part in the events conducted by the other colleges.
